Save the date – the Hāna Rodeo returns on Saturday, January 27th, 2018. There will be fun for the whole ʻohana with events, games and concessions.

May 20, 2017 marks the 4th Annual Farm Day, a statewide movement to honor farmers and encourage families to visit and thank those who work hard to grow our local produce. This statewide effort is a collaboration of over 30 farms and 50 farmers markets with support from Edible Hawaiian Islands, FarmLovers Market, Kohala Village Hub, Ocean Vodka and RedBarn Farmstand.

Join Provisions Chef Gary Johnson, trained butcher Morgan Maki and farmer Dave Fitch in a whole hog butchery workshop and lunch.

Join us this Saturday, May 21, to celebrate Farm Day 2016! Burgers will be half-off all day at Provisions and we will be setting up a table outside of the restaurant to talk about our CSA.

Last month our team and their families headed to Kipahulu for the day to volunteer at Kapahu Living Farm and help dig out their taro patch and get fresh water flowing. The Kipahulu ʻOhana is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching Hawaiian traditions through hands-on classes and demonstrations. Since 1995 they have been sharing native Hawaiian practices in Kipahulu to residents and visitors.

Join edible Hawaiian Islands, Hāna Ranch, and Travaasa Hāna as they kick off the 24th Annual Taro Festival with a fundraiser Poi Supper on Friday April 29th at the ranch. All proceeds from the dinner will be donated to the Hāna Youth Center to continue to grow and support the next generation in Hāna.

Join Hāna Ranch and Jean-Martin Fortier, the Market Gardener, for a full-day intensive farming workshop. For more than a decade Jean-Martin Fortier and his wife have been making a living growing vegetables on their 1.5 acres market garden, selling through their 140 member CSA and seasonal market stands, they gross more than $140,000 in sales with a profit margin of around 45%.

Join us for an amazing evening of good food cooked by our team at Hāna Ranch Provisions in partnership with Whole Foods Market Maui and Edible Hawaiian Islands Magazine. John Cadman of Pono Pies will be pounding ‘ulu on site and all proceeds to benefit Kahului Elementary School gardens.

We are excited to announce the opening Hāna Ranch Provisions, our first restaurant on the island of Maui in Pā‘ia in August 2015. The restaurant will feature cooking from scratch inspired by and primarily sourced from our certified organic farm and ranch located in Hāna, East Maui, as well as a small market where guests can purchase fresh produce from the farm.

Last Sunday we had the honor of co-hosting a dinner with edible Hawaiian Islands, Whole Foods Market Maui, James Simpliciano, Nohoʻana Farm and Pono Pies!

The Hāna Ranch team recently switched up our daily routine and volunteered at Kapahu Living Farm in Kipahulu. At Kapahu Living Farm, our gracious hosts, Uncle John and Auntie Tweetie Lind demonstrated the ins and outs of taro farming. And of course, our team was not afraid to jump right in and get our hands dirty!

On Saturday, Hāna Ranch was pleased to host a community tour of our growing farm, including our greenhouse nursery, vegetable garden, and lunch provided by our culinary manager. We had a great time spending the morning with friends and family and learned some valuable lessons about future tours, including the importance of shade!
